Cruz Bay, St. John: A Complete Guide to the Town

Cruz Bay is St. John's only real town — and the most fun small town in the Caribbean. Where to eat, where to drink, where to park, and how to spend a half-day exploring.

Cruz Bay is the ferry-landing town on the west tip of St. John — and the only real town on the island. It is roughly four blocks square, with the National Park headquarters at one end, a working harbor in the middle, and a tangle of restaurants, galleries, and bars wrapped around the rest.

Almost every St. John trip passes through Cruz Bay every day. If you learn the rhythm — where to park, where to eat lunch, where to be at sunset — your whole week works better.
